A secluded beachside oasis overlooking Angels Beach in Ballina NSW, The Beach House was created as an eco-conscious venue designed to host a variety of intimate corporate functions, educational workshops, retreats and events.
Aimed at raising coastal awareness, while allowing guests to connect with nature, create community and collectively give back, The Beach House allows its inhabitants to feel relaxed yet inspired and therefore become productive within the space.
Drawing inspiration from the coastal environment and summers spent in Europe, Lane applied her signature aesthetic of 'barefoot sophistication’ incorporating reclaimed timber, whitewashed walls, natural linen textures and muted, earthly tones throughout the design.
Sitting quietly on the headland overlooking the Pacific Ocean, like many of Lane’s projects, The Beach House has a give-back element, where proceeds from every event go into an Environmental Trust and are awarded to groups such Positive Change for Marine Life, Ballina Coast Care and Australian Seabird Rescue, who are dedicated to preserving the coastal environment.
"I turned my focus to the ocean and how we could champion sustainability and protection of the local coastal vegetation - it was a perfect spot to create the feel of a ‘barefoot boardroom.”
EMMA L. LANE
“It’s like being invited into someone’s beach home, but at the same time, it’s a space where ideas and business can be discussed in a relaxed environment.”
EMMA L. LANE
